BRAND IDENTITY
Create a logo for the official Arts District designation of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The logo had to embody the creativity, culture and history of the district it represented.
The logo is encased in a badge, an upside-down triangle, a nod to the historical presence of LGBTQ communities—representative of the inclusive nature of Capitol Hill. The treatment of "Arts" and the font of "District" are also nostalgic of an era when Capitol Hill was called "Auto Row"—a reference to the businesses that populated most of Pike, Pine, and Broadway streets.
This identity was slightly adjusted after my departure from Pyramid Communications.
